One of our Junior Doctors, Matt is currently working at the hospital as a teaching fellow. Matt is a very keen photographer and prior to the pandemic, had been working at the St Theresa Hospital at Nzara in South Sudan. A charity photographic commission there has been put on hold as a result of the pandemic and so Matt has decided to use his skills to photograph the Critical Care team at James Cook whilst they worked within their ‘hidden world’.

He’s done a great job - the pictures, taken last month within the COVID Intensive Care Units give a glimpse of what it has been like to work in the ICU during the pandemic.
