A late night for me last night. After finishing writing last night's post I made the mistake of watching Dominic Cummings’ media statement that he gave yesterday. I was so angry that I needed a couple of stiff drinks to unwind before bed.
I woke up to read that he still hasn't resigned. I am worried that there must be something wrong with my eyesight. I'm just off for a drive to Barnard Castle to check.
I watched it today, unbelievable! I can just about accept the thinking behind requiring support to look after his son (& I stress just about) but everything else is beyond belief! It is totally undermining everything that we have all been told to do .... stay HOME, save lives & protect the NHS. I pray that people continue to do what is right despite the irresponsible actions of a minority and the lack of backbone by the PM. Yes, a lot of things could have been done better but others can learn from those mistakes. He’s lost a lot of support & sure he’ll definitely come to regret this decision.
Thanks again Richard for this blog & for all you…
I love your reading your blog, your comments are so open and honest and in these awful times this is what people need to see. You and your co-workers are an inspiration and instil confidence that we will get through this.
I guess the issue with your good self and many other people doc is that you have morals, ethics and I am sure you are a very decent all round person. Politicians and there advisors are mostly scumbags with none of your qualities.
(Sorry for the word scumbag if it offends anyone, it was the most apt I could think of with out expletives)
@bernie_allan - 😆
I've been to Barnard Castle quite a few times...Nice little town but not many opticians there that I remember!
