Will you stop writing that Bloody Blog and come and peel some potatoes!?

Easter Sunday - 12th April 2020

COVID Figures for 11th April

UK Hospital Deaths 917 / Total 9875

James Cook Hospital – Total deaths – 79

Nicky and I now have two days off together. We’re going to try to have a ‘normal’ Easter Sunday with the family and try to forget about work for a day.

I’m not going to write much today except to congratulate everyone on following guidelines for social isolation and social distancing. I was riding my bike locally yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of cars at beauty spots. Everyone around here appears to be doing what they can to limit the spread of the virus.

This steadfast observance to the ‘rules’ is the only reason my colleagues and I have not been overrun. Everyone is working harder than they ever have before but are still able to provide the usual high standard of care. Thank you!

So, Happy Easter from all the Critical Care Team at James Cook. Stay safe, all!

Ha-PPE Easter!
